Reading is important because it develops the mind. The mind is a muscle. It needs exercise. Understanding the written word is one way the mind grows in its ability.
Well done to Brazil class who won the Reading award this week. They truly deserve praise as they won with 100%, which means that every pupil read 3 times or more within the week. I am so pleased that they all worked together, encouraging each other, so that they could all succeed.
