World Book day in China Class
China class celebrated World Book day by rewriting classic stories. The children took inspiration from the twisted tale of “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs'' by Jon Scieszka. Some fantastic examples are “The Tale of Little Red in the Hood” by David and “What if Alice Avoided Wonderland?” by Shah. China class also worked hard creating a book in a box. The children took a part of their favourite book and turned it into a small scale scene. They had amazing amounts of collaborative fun producing these.

Celebrating World Book Day in Reception
The children in reception had a great day coming to school dressed as their favourite book character. We spoke this morning about why we were celebrating World Book Day and the importance of sharing in a love of reading. We had some amazing costumes from a gingerbread man, weather character to princesses and kings, heroes and villains. Books were shared and we immersed ourselves in our imaginations by creating stories and making our own props to support our role play. Thank you for the amazing effort you all went to!
