Year 1 Outer Space Drama Workshop!

We were very pleased to receive a visit from Perform on Tuesday 24th September. The children had a wonderful time exploring the theme of Outer Space and using drama, dance and singing to help develop their confidence, concentration and social skills. We went on a mission to space to defeat the evil alien. Your child should have come home with a leaflet with information on drama clubs that they can join and learn to develop their acting skills.

University of Mead - Drama

On Friday, Mead University's drama club performed Cinderella in under 5 minutes after weeks of practicing our expression, stage presence and characterisiation. Year 3 go back in time!

The children in year three were very lucky to receive a visit from the fabulous Hobgoblin Theatre Company today. First we watched a crazy show called Prehistoric Park, which as well as being hilarious, consolidated our learning on The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. We then took part in a brilliant drama workshop, which was lots of fun.

Fairy tale fun in year one!

The children in year one were treated to a very special digital performance of Hansel and Gretel and a workshop from the fantastic Hobgoblin Theatre Company this week.  They thoroughly enjoyed the performance and had great fun pretending to be different fairy tale characters. It also inspired their Big Write today.

"My favourite fairy tale character is Pinocchio." exclaimed Daniel.
