Rainbow Fish Workshop

Last Friday our Reception children delved deep into their imaginations recreating our story of the week 'The Rainbow Fish'.

Our adventure started by travelling on a bus down to the beach. We then used all of our strength rowing ourselves out into the ocean, before diving in and discovering all that lives under the sea.

We became puffer fish, lantern fish, blue whales, an octopus, sharks and even a crab, with Stephen telling us crabs move sideways! Using all of our 5 senses to recreate the smells, sights, tastes, and sounds of the ocean. We used our sense of touch to feel some real life sea shells.

Through our exploration of the story the children learnt not only the importance of sharing but what makes a good friend; with each child being given a shiny scale from the Rainbow fish.

It was a great day had by both children and adults alike.
