Cycle Skills Training

Year 1 and 2 pupils excelled themselves last Friday, improving their cycling skills.

They got better at:

  • Looking in the direction of travel
  • Braking
  • Balancing
  • Steering
  • Cycling with 1 hand off the handle bars

Many thanks to the parents and Year 6 pupils who helped to run this sessions with Mrs Eubanks.
We will be offering further training sessions soon, including Year 3 and 4 cycle skills in November,  Year 5 Bikeability, and further beginners sessions for Year 1 and 2 pupils.
In addition, the Borough is running free sessions at all levels in half term.
Don't forget, it's Bikers' Breakfast this Friday, come rain or shine! We are in the process of installing additional scooter and cycle storage facilities in both playgrounds, to cope with the big increase in numbers of pupils coming to school on their bikes and scooters.

So keep up the good work, cut congestion and pollution,  and stay healthy!
