Feeling negative?

Year 4 Germany Maths Set get to grips with negative numbers!

Pupils had a go at ordering and comparing positive and negative numbers, and counting backwards through zero.
"You get negative numbers in temperature," explained Raul.
'It's a bit like the time lines we did in history!" exclaimed Kimarni. "The BC numbers are a bit like negative numbers."
Pupils solved problems like :
the difference between -5 and - 17 is 12,
the difference between 6 and -25 is 31.

"Next week, we will be learning about data handling," Mrs Eubanks reminded the pupils. "But keep on practising those times tables for 15 minutes EVERY NIGHT! Pupils in Year 4 are expected to know all their times tables up to 12."
