Pond Digging for Pond Dipping!
A team of helpers from Thames Chase came to once again enrich our wonderful outside learning environment. Screens were put up and the children were intrigued as to what was happening behind. Then after two days of work some of the helpers asked if the children would like to see what they had done and invited us in. The children looked amazed when they saw the shape and size of the pond and were soon asking whether there would be frogs and whether fish would live in it. The Thames Chase friends started telling the children about the wildlife that live in ponds and how ponds look different during the different seasons. They also mentioned that they were making some vegetable patches and explaining about all the different things they can grow and in what seasons.
