A massive well done to Mead Pupils Anya Shorter, Jessica Shorter and Daniel Murphy who were presented with certificates and medals in our assemblies today by Viv our local librarian.
The children took part in the summer reading challenge at Harold Wood library. They each read 6 books and were able to retell the stories and answer questions posed by the librarian.
Anya said her favourite book was about a dinosaur and she was able to relay part of the story to a very interested KS1 audience. Hopefully this will encourage other Mead pupils to take part in a similar challenge which Viv hopes to organise for the Christmas break.
