Year 1 Biscuit decorating

Yesterday Year One had lots of fun learning different life skills. They decorated their own biscuit using icing sugar, strawberry laces, buttons and sprinkles. They then got to sit together and enjoy their biscuit.

Interactive BSL lessons

Mrs Rolfe had the fantastic idea of teaching you how to use sign language whilst you are learning from home. Each week she will teach you something new and then by Friday she will implement what you have learnt into a song or story!

Have a go at learning the colours below!
At the end of the week she will teach us how to sign 'I can sing a rainbow' in support of our NHS workers.

Year 3 Life Skills - Washing up!

As part of Mead’s new life skills curriculum, our year 3 pupils were learning how to wash up.
Luckily for the pupils, their life skills lesson coincided with pancake day. The pupils all had a delicious pancake to cover in their favourite toppings and eat it, before moving on to washing up their cutlery and plate.
We spoke about the importance of water temperature, washing up liquid and how to use a sponge. Some pupils were able to explain to others that they needed to scrape their plates clean first and rinse them before adding it to the washing up bowl to avoid dirty dish water!
The year 3's are already looking forward to learning and practising their next life skill, which will be setting an alarm.
