Forest School Session 3

Last Wednesday saw the children further develop their understanding of the forest layers. A range of activities were engaging the children in a variety of ways. Some looked at the canopy and shrub layers to identify trees and plants. Others explored the ground and shrub layers finding mini beasts and fungus. Some demonstrated good teamwork skills working together to build dens and shelters form natural materials or using rope and tarps. The children were challenged to think about their biggest challenge from this session and how they might overcome it next time.
