Celebration certificates in years 1, 2 and 3 (24.1.25)

Congratulations to all the children in years 1, 2 and 3 that have earned themselves a certificate this week. Keep up the amazing work.

History in Year 2

In History, year 2 have been learning about famous explorers. This week we learnt about the voyage of Christopher Columbus to the Americas. Children tasted foods that Columbus discovered and brought back to Europe!

These included: avocado, sweet potato, papaya, guava and cocoa beans.

Egypt Marble Jar Reward

Egypt Class enjoyed a glow stick party this morning because they completed their marble jar. The children had the best time dancing to their favourite songs! Well done Egypt.

Year 2 Experience Day

As part of our English learning, the children had the opportunity to smell different sweet items such as caramel syrup, waffle cones and a range of sweets. This was to help them think of exciting words to include in their writing such as scrumptious, sugary and tempting.

Kenya Forest School

Kenya Class had an exciting afternoon of exploration at Forest School! ✨🌳

The children embraced the great outdoors, starting off by creating their very own nature badge necklaces, celebrating the beauty around them. They used alliteration to come up with their unique Forest School names, adding a creative twist to their adventure!

They then set off on a bug hunt, searching high and low for creepy crawlies, and had a blast testing their balance on the forest balance beam. 🐛🦗

The fun didn’t stop there! They played a fun game of ‘pass the clap’, laughing and bonding as they worked together. The teamwork continued as the children collaborated to build amazing dens using natural materials, showing fantastic problem-solving skills and creativity! 🌿

It was a wonderful afternoon of teamwork, creativity, and connection with nature. Can’t wait for the next adventure!
