What a fantastic day the children in Barbados class enjoyed today. They were met with many familiar faces from stories and comics alike: Batman, The very hungry caterpillar,
The Gruffalo, Harry Potter, Snow White, we had a Zog, Little red riding hood and even a Mary! To some characters which were less familiar; Tori the tooth fairy and Slinky Malinki.
World book day is all about "sharing a story to create readers for life".
During our circle time we spoke about who we would like to share a story with, Neveah said "everyone", Matthew and Amaliah both said they would like to read their story to "Mum and dad".
We all thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story 'The Emperor's new clothes' and seeing how he became tricked by the dress makers.
The children all looked amazing and Scarlett was chosen as the overall class winner for her Queen of hearts costume. Thank you, parents, for all the time and effort you put into the costumes.
