Canada's Trip to the British Museum

Canada Class went to the British Museum to learn more about the Ancient Egyptians. The museum holds the largest collection of Egyptian objects outside of Egypt. One object that captured the children's interest and attention was a 5,000 year old sand-dried mummy.

The children were amazed to see how the Egyptians lived in Early Egypt. They enjoyed seeing the sarcophagus' and all of the hieroglyphics.

One child said, "I wish I could decode all of those hieroglyphics!".

Another stated that, "I've really enjoyed seeing all of the artefacts from Ancient Egypt,".

The trip was a good way of bringing all the learning we have done in class to life.
