Over the last few weeks Italy class was exploring a West African drumming. Children learnt how to play a Djembe and create three main sounds like bass, tone and slap. They practised some cyclic patterns and composed a multi-layered pattern using percussion instruments. We can honestly say that all children enjoyed the Djembe sessions.
