Year 6- Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day, originally called Armistice Day, is observed on November 11th, when the country pauses at the 11th hour to remember our fallen.

Our Year 6 created silhouette pictures to help remember our heroes from those that have fought and fallen in wars across the years. Here are their efforts.

I was really impressed with Aliyah's silhouette of a soldier on the battlefield and Mykolas' picture of Winston Churchill.

The pupils also had to write acrostic poems which I thought were very reflective.

On the Google classroom I uploaded a recipe for poppy shaped biscuits which the pupils could bake at home. It was pleasing to see that Nina and Reinaldas have made them.
