Forest school was full of firework fun today. We used loppers to cut some elder, created a hole in the pith at one end and then filled the hole with natural firework colours we found in the forest. We started to learn about the three elements required to start a fire - fuel, oxygen and heat. Some children had a try at making a spark with the fire steels. We’ll carry on with this next week as everyone was keen to have a turn. We finished up with a bit of forest bathing and the children scored their session out of 10. Lots of them gave today full marks!
Well done Year 3!
