Mead Farm: Baby Rabbits

The farm population has been growing rapidly over the last few months. Now it has gone up at an exponential rate as Blackberry (Dad) and Hazel (Mum) welcomed a new litter of rabbits into the world.

Staff and pupils were very excited to see the tiny fur balls scampering around as they emerged from the straw for the first time.

However you have to be very careful when you handle them. Make sure you are sitting down as if they wriggle free a drop could really injure them. Mum and Dad also get very anxious if too many people go into the pen.
