Summer 2 11.06.18
Dear
Parents/Carers,
It was
lovely to see so many smiling faces greet us on our return to school Monday. Thank you again for your continued support and cooperation in encouraging your
child to come in of a morning independently, it is much appreciated and will
help in their transition into Year 1. The children all enjoyed our food tasting
experience this week with many of them asking for more!
As we
enter into our final half term of Reception we will be learning about
the World. This week we will be reading the book ‘Giraffes can’t dance’ and
continuing our learning, comparing Africa and Harold Hill. The children will be looking at and listening to different african instruments, creating african savannahs and creating their own giraffes.
On Friday
we have our stay and read and F.U.D.G.E themed stay and make. If you have not
already purchased your raffle tickets please remember to do so to be in with a
chance of winning our luxury hamper. A member of staff will be selling them on
Monday or you can send your £1 in a named envelope. A BIG thank you to those
parents who have already donated something towards our hamper, don’t worry there
is still time to bring in your contribution.
A little
reminder Wednesday is our PE day, please ensure your child has their named PE
kit in school. We have a lot of lost property accumulating in school which
cannot be returned to their rightful owner as they are unnamed.
When/if
we have warmer weather could you please ensure your child comes to school with
a sun hat and water bottle.
If your
child has needed a change of clothes, could you please ensure these are sent
back into school as we now have no spare clothes in school!
This week
is Week 2 of the Havering catering services. Monday's choices are:
Red- Organic
beef burger with potato wedges
Blue- Vegetable burger
with potato wedges
Green- Cheesy tomato pasta pot
