Our new growing beds are now complete and ready to be planted in. The Thames Chase volunteers did a great job of filling them up with top soil... over 9 tonnes of the stuff!
As the large growing bed is difficult to reach, they showed great resourcefulness to introduce an inner bed, filled with shrubs and plum slate, so that it would stay tidy and not be over grown with weeds.
Our farm volunteers will now be able to grow their own vegetables which can be fed back to the animals... that is if Mr Darcy and Betsy don't nibble them too much first!
