Newsletter 21.06.18



Dear Parents,

I can’t believe there are only 4 weeks left of this academic year............. And so much to do! As you will see from the diary information there are still lots of visits/experiences planned for the rest of the term- So still lots to look forward to!

Some staff are attending the TES Awards at the Grosvenor Garden Hotel on Friday evening as we have been shortlisted for 2 awards
  • Headteacher of the year
  • Employer of the year
Fingers crossed we are successful although being shortlisted is an accomplishment in itself.


Diary Dates
Monday 25th June- Barbados and Jamaica classes are visiting Harold Hill Library. Some of our Year 6 children will be attending the Ford Engineering Celebration Day with Mr. Gowers. Year 3 pupils will be out today visiting The V&A Children’s Museum.

Tuesday 26th June- St Lucia Class and Year 1 Spinebreakers are visiting Harold Hill Library. Year 2 parents are invited to come into school to see our wonderful farm between 14:00 and 15:00.

Wednesday 27th June- Year 6 pupils are visiting the Globe Theatre. Some of our year 3 pupils will be attending a Forest Schools session in the afternoon. Parents of year 5 pupils are invited to come into school between 14:00 and 15:00 to see our wonderful farm

Thursday 28th June-Our reception classes are out visiting Paradise Wildlife park. Induction Day for year 6 pupils attending Redden Court and Royal Liberty Schools. The remaining year 6 pupils will be taking part in a Junior Citizens trip during the morning. In the afternoon Year 2 Spinebreakers will be visiting Waterstones in Romford and we are hosting a rounders competition. The parents of year 4 pupils are invited to visit our wonderful farm between 14:00 and 15:00. Parents of Year 5 pupils are invited into school for a short information meeting about secondary school transition procedures.

Havering Catering Services
Week beginning 25th June is Week 1 on the Havering Catering Services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.20.


Attendance Update
Well done to Canada class who had the highest attendance in Y5&6 at 95.7% . N.Ireland had the highest attendance in LKS2 and overall at 95.7% and Madagascar had the highest attendance in KS1 at 95.5%. Well done to them!. The overall attendance was disappointing at only 93.8% which is well below our target!
