Weekly Newsletter 9th March 2018

9th March 2018

Dear Parents,

World Book Day
Well done to everyone for the fabulous costumes on display today. A lot of time and effort went into producing the homemade costume which showcased the exceptional artistic talent possessed by some of our parents/carers. Thank you for your generous donations -we have raised the sum of £370 which we will put towards purchasing new books for the class libraries.

Collecting pupils
I am aware from time to time you need to make arrangements for someone else to collect your children from school. For security reasons it is imperative you let us know. In these circumstances please telephone the office with the name of the person collecting your child-this information can then be recorded and passed on to your child’s class teacher.

Parents Consultations
At the end of the term we will be holding parent consultations when you are invited to come and meet your child’s class teacher to find out how they are progressing this year. There will be a chance for you to look at your child’s work and complete a parental survey to let us know how else we can provide you with information and support.
These events will be held on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th March.

KS2 Car Park
Please be reminded that, for safety reasons, parents are not permitted to use the KS2 car park to drop/pick up pupils (unless this has been authorised by the head teacher). Parents using the car park this week caused congestion which resulted in someone backing into a lamp post in the school drive. The gate has remained open recently due to mechanical failure which has now been addressed and we will revert to the correct safety procedure which does not allow parent vehicle access.

Diary Dates

Wednesday 14th March-To celebrate Science week we have Science shows and workshops in school today. During the afternoon some of our year 3 pupils will be attending forest school session.
