Dear finder,
154 schools across the UK from The Shetland Islands to the Channel Islands have been sent a free Shakespeare book for children written and illustrated by Marcia Williams to celebrate Shakespeare Week.
Mead Primary are delighted to have been one of those specially selected schools. This book will be shared with the children in school and then released on 12 March into the local community. Children will be encouraged to keep their eyes open for the book in their area - it might turn up at the supermarket checkout, on a park bench, on a bus...
Lucky 'finders' should read it and then set it free in a place of their own choice. The books will be kept safe in transparent waterproof folders to keep them safe.
We will be following the journey of these wild books at Shakespeare HQ by inviting finders to tweet using the hashtag #Shpassiton, so if you find it please tweet about it!
Which book travelled the furthest? Which book was shared the most times? Which book was found in the most unusual location? We can't wait to find out! Here are some suggestions for places to leave your WILD BOOK if you manage to find one:
· a bus shelter
· a park bench
· a supermarket checkout
· on a bus or train
· in a supermarket basket
· at the doctor's or dentist's surgery
· in a place of worship
· in a museum
· in a playground
· at the swimming pool
· a sports ground or stadium
· in a cafe or restaurant
