In Year 2, we have started to explore African music. The children
learned that the continent of Africa has lots of different types of music and people play
lots of different instruments, however the most popular instrument is the
Djembe drum. We practised how to hold a drum correctly, played some cyclic
patterns on Djembe using the two sounds- base and a tone and sang an African
song called ''Zimbole''.
