In Italy class, we have been looking at the Disney short film called 'Feast' for our English lessons. As part of the experience day, the pupils had to sort and rank the different foods into two different categories: healthy and unhealthy foods.
They also had the opportunity of tasting the foods whilst thinking of adjectives to describe the smell, taste, texture, colour and sound. They will then use the word banks in their writing next week.
I was really impressed with the adjectives that they thought of. Ryan added the word 'sumptuous' to describe the taste of the fruit. He had remembered this word from the text that we looked at in our reading comprehension lesson. Merkhima included the word 'scrumptious' which she had remembered from our class novel of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.
