Weekly Newsletter - Important Information
Friday 14th June 2024
Dear Parents and Carers,
I wanted to share how impressed we have all been with the level of home learning that is taking place. Every single week the number of children who are accessing Mathletics has been increasing and this is really supporting the learning that is taking place in school. We have a huge number of children completing BINGO homework and the effort that is being put into it is incredible. Thank you to you and the children for the ongoing effort that you are putting into your work at home.
Mobile Phones
This week we have seen a rise in incidents that have arisen through social messaging apps. We really encourage you to regularly check content that has been accessed and content shared between groups. As a school we do not support the use of Whatsapp groups, not only is the age limit 13+ but children can be added to message threads with people that they don’t know. If you would like any support in checking your child's privacy settings or advice on what to look out for, please do let us know and we will be happy to support you. Please also look out for the online safety ‘What Parents Need to Know’ information sheets that are sent out each Wednesday.
Term Time Holidays
As we draw closer to the Summer holidays we see more and more requests for term time holidays. We understand that at times there may be extenuating circumstances but all holiday requests during term time are unauthorised unless there is evidence provided to support your request. We appreciate that this can at times be upsetting but we have to adhere to the policy adopted by the Local Authority and school. All school absence is a serious matter monitored by the LA, Education Welfare department and Ofsted and all school procedures are checked regularly. Thank you for your understanding.
Sports Days
Please see below for the sports day and times for each year group. Please ensure that all children have their full PE kit in school on these days. We look forward to seeing you there.
