Year 6 children have completed a unit on bucket drumming. Learning to play bucket drums involves coordinating different rhythms and movements simultaneously and can be a social activity to promote ensemble skills or a solo exercise for students who aspire to be drummers, but cannot afford a drum set. The children mastered their skills of playing various rhythmic patterns and enjoyed drumming along to the song ’I am blue.’
