Dear Parents and Carers,

For those of you following the Naughty Elves antics I am pleased to say I am now back, following a night in the stable with the pony and STILL supporting Chelsea!!

Christmas Concerts
A big thank you to all parents / carers who came along to support the children’s Christmas concerts this week. I am sure you will agree with me that all of the children sang brilliantly and read and acted like professionals. We hope that you enjoyed watching the concerts as much as we did. Well done to all pupils and staff involved.

We still have a year 5/6 concert and the nursery performance to look forward to-I’m sure those of you who haven’t yet attended will not be disappointed.

Thank you for your generosity, so far we have collected £671 to give to Isabel’s parents towards her headstone and we still have 2 more concerts next week!

Reception Admissions September 2017
If your child is looking to join our school in Reception 2016, it is vital that you get your application completed by 15th January or it is likely you will miss out. It is possible we will have more expressions of interest than we have places – YOU MUST APPLY! Attending our Nursery will have no impact on your application. Many parents mistakenly believe that a place in the Nursery = a place in Reception… it doesn’t!

LFPA
A massive thank you to members of the LFPA who once again organised a very successful event -our Learning Federation Christmas Fayre. The event was well attended and raised in excess of £500

I have listed the unclaimed winning tickets from the raffle-if you have one of them please e-mail Mrs O’Flynn Loflynn.lfpa@learningfederation.org.uk and she will arrange delivery to the appropriate school
836 to 840-Yellow ticket
401 to 405-Orange ticket

Havering Catering Services
Week beginning Monday 18th December is week 2 Havering Catering Services menu. A school meal costs £2.20 and is served with unlimited salad and vegetables.

Attendance
Our attendance has been adversely affected by the weather this week with a number of pupils not managing to get into school because of the snow on Monday -Even so our overall attendance for the week was 91%-Hopefully the weather will be kind to us next week and our attendance figure will improve.

Awards and Certificates
Due to the Christmas concerts this week we have not been able to have our E for Excellence assembly. However, we will be giving out E for Excellence awards, tracker certificates, spelling prizes next week and all of the usual awards before we break up.

Final Day of Term: Wednesday 20th December
We finish school at 3.00pm on Wednesday 20th December. School opens again on Tuesday 2nd January – Breakfast Club at 7.45am – with the doors opening at 8.30am.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs L Smith
