Nursery Newsletter 04.12.17

       Term: Autumn 2                    Date: 04.12.17

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have a very busy last few weeks left at before Christmas. Below are some important dates you need to remember.

Friday 15th December- Christmas Jumper Day- Children can wear a Christmas jumper instead of their green jumper. The rest of their clothes should be school uniform.
We will also be having our class Christmas party this day. Children will have party food and play party games with their friends to celebrate an excellent first term in Nursery.

Tuesday 19th December- Nursery Christmas concert- We are sorry for the change of date again! Please send all children to school at 8.30/8.45am even if they normally attend the afternoon session. The concert will begin at 10.00am and there will be no afternoon session on this day.

We will be announcing the winners of our Christmas hamper after the concert. Please bring in any luxury donations ASAP so we can sort out prizes. Tickets are on sale now, £1 a strip. All money raised goes towards funds for the Nursery.

Wednesday 20th December- Last day of term.

Routines/Messages
Please note that you are not permitted to leave pushchairs on the school grounds whilst your child is at Nursery. Please push them home with you when you leave. At Mead we encourage independence and physical development. Please encourage your child to walk with you to school.

If you have not already brought them into school, please remember your child will need a pair of plimsolls for P.E. in a named bag. Each shoe also needs to have your child’s name in. We have a couple of P.E. bags handed to us that do not have names on therefore we are not sure who they belong to. Please see the class teacher if you think you might have forgotten to put your child’s name on their bag. Thank you.

Please also make sure that all your child’s uniform is named. We still have lots of children without names on their jumpers/cardigans. We children take them off staff do not know who they belong to and they are more likely to be lost/misplaced.
.
At Mead children play outside in all weathers. Please make sure your child attends Nursery with a waterproof jacket each day. Additional hats/scarfs etc may be needed as the weather gets colder. Please be aware children may finish Nursery slightly messy or slightly damp from playing outside. We believe that children learn a great deal from playing in different weather conditions and please be assured that your children will not be left in soaking wet clothing for the whole session. If you would like to send spare clothes in to keep at Nursery incase of accidents please hand them to one of the Nursery staff in a named bag.

Nursery times
Please be aware of our Nursery times. We have different sessions running throughout the day where children start/finish at different times.
