Remarkable Rock-climbers!

Yesterday, we waved goodbye to the Year 6 pupils who were going to Mersea however some children stayed behind.

Nevertheless they had a great day. They spent the morning rock-climbing. They had to climb to the top of a 30 foot high fibre-glass rock face. Did you know that 30 foot is about four-fifths as tall as a telephone pole and  about seven-tenths as tall as a Brachiosaurus?!!

They all had a go (even those like Tyler and Ocean who were scared of heights) and with encouragement from the others they reached the top. There were 4 different routes to the top with varying difficulty and it was great to see their determination to try to do them all.Well done Year 6!
