Bush craft activities

In the afternoon, the year 6 pupils did bush craft activities. Their first task was to collect tinder and sticks to make a fire. They then had to light it themselves using flint and keep it going (which was tricky as it was quite breezy). All groups managed to do it and even toasted marshmallows on their fire.

After that the pupils had to build their own shelter. They had to put together bamboo sticks tied together with string and tarpaulin. They worked well in groups and here is what they achieved.
