How did you take a 'selfie' before smart phones and photography were invented?
It took a lot longer in those days! A 'Selfie Stick' was a paint brush or pencil. In the past people had to draw or paint themselves by looking in the mirror, but if they were rich or famous they got someone else to do it for them.
Year 4 art club have been drawing their self portraits using a photograph of themselves. They looked closely at the proportions of their faces and the shapes of their eyes and lips. They decided it was not very easy but they had fun trying. The results look great.
