Staying dry at Forest School

Yesterday saw our first damp session for this group but no-one was put off! It worked out well really as the children were challenged to continue developing their shelter building skills. This week they needed to ensure their shelter was waterproof. Some groups found this more challenging than others. Everyone had access to tarpaulins and rope and used them in a range of ways. Some groups demonstrated great communication skills and co-ordinated themselves as a team. The session ended with the water test - the children entered their shelters while a watering can of water was poured over the shelter. Thankfully they all stayed dry!
