Year 4 Star writers

Well done to our fabulous Star Writer winners this week!

Stuart Cole, Ruby Craze and Jaroslav Richter all wrote some impressive poems this week,  using onomatopoeia, alliteration, similes, repetition and rhyme to engage the reader.

This lovely poem was written by Stuart Cole, in Germany class.

The Magic Box
I will put into my box

A snowman with a rumbling snowbelly of ice,

Snow is gently melting,

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh goes the wind.

‘Snow, snow, snow’ said the snowman happily.

I will put into my box

A leaf floating into the water.

It flows away down the river.

Splash, splash, splash.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh the leaf went,

And it made some little friends.
