Exciting science!

Do you see yourself as a scientist?

Pupils in Year 4 at Mead certainly do!

This week they  have had an exciting time learning all about the functions of the human heart, as part of this term's topic on Human Health and Fitness.

Pupils had a go at listening to each other's heart beats using a stethoscope, and found out what a sphygmomanometer  was for!
"I found it fascinating to listen to my partner's heart beat," said Briana, excitedly!
Next week, we will be doing experiments to see what effect different types of heartbeat have on our pulse rate.
