Last week, year 4 looked at the structure of musical compositions. The children know that structure is one of the elements of music and refers to the arrangement of the sections in a piece of music.
We listened to Turkish March and analysed its form by finding a recurring theme called a refrain. Later we played rhythmic ostinato to the tune.
