So far this half term all 3 reception classes have enjoyed their visits to the forest again.
With some warmer weather arriving it has been a welcome afternoon of shade under the tree canopies.
They enjoyed hearing about the bee houses that year 2 had been making at forest school and it was the perfect introduction to our 'Mini Mead Meadow' project.
All children were invited to make a seed bomb, by counting out and mixing ingredients to make their own mud balls that they then rolled through the wildflower seeds.
We hope to watch these flourish and provide plenty of opportunities for the bees to visit lots of different flower varieties.
Many children enjoyed learning how to use the hammock and gently swaying their friends and we had some great teamwork moving logs around the forest to build our own teepees.
