 Weekly Newsletter - Important Information

Friday 17th May 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, our Year 6 pupils have demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance as they completed their SAT’s. It has been wonderful to witness their hard work and determination throughout this week. At the start of the week, we reminded our Year 6 children that regardless of their test results, they should be immensely proud of their efforts and the exemplary behaviour they have exhibited as role models within our school community. We firmly believe that standardised tests like SATs only provide a limited snapshot of a child's abilities, and we are lucky to have a cohort of Year 6 students who embody kindness and compassion. We would like to thank all of our parents and carers for their support and encouragement. Well done Year 6!

School Uniform Consultation

Thank you to those who contributed to our uniform consultation. As you know, we had been asked by parents to add bottle green polo t-shirts to the uniform policy in addition to the white polo shirts. We have had 445 responses to the consultation and as you can see from the vote below it is almost a 50/50 split of yes and no. Therefore we have made the decision that we will add bottle green polo shirts to the school uniform which can be worn from September. Parents can choose between white or bottle green.  If you decide that your child will wear a bottle green polo shirt it must be the same style and shade as below. These can also be purchased in supermarkets and do not have to include the Mead logo.

End of the day

Now that the weather has started to improve we are starting to have more after school clubs which will be taking place outside on the field. It is really important that all parents, carers and children leave the school premises promptly and avoid using the field where the clubs will be taking place. The gate must be locked by 3:30pm. Thank you for your understanding.
