Weekly Newsletter - Important Information
Friday 10th May 2024
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to those who joined us for our RSHE workshops this week. A special thanks to Miss Blowers and Miss Flynn for providing the sessions.
We recently shared the INSET days for the next academic year with you. Due to training that will be delivered to staff it has been necessary to change the INSET previously set for 14th February to 4th November. Please see the dates set out at the end of the newsletter.
It’s a girl!
We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Mrs Leggett welcomed a baby girl into the world on Wednesday. Both mum and baby Lottie are doing well and we are sending Mrs Leggett and her family our congratulations on the birth of their new arrival!
Smart Watches
Please be reminded that smart watches must not be worn in school. Any watches that have additional functions such as recording or options of receiving calls and messages will be placed in the safe boxes in the classroom and returned at the end of the day. Children should not bring these items into school. Any items brought into school are done so at the risk of the individual and the school will not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
Warmer weather
As we enjoy some warmer weather, please make sure that the children have a water bottle accessible in school each day. Hats can be worn outside but must be removed inside the school building. Please make sure that the children have sunscreen on each day to protect them from the sun.
Attendance Drop in Hub
Are you having trouble getting your children into school? Come along to our Attendance Hub. We hold regular drop in sessions with our Educational Welfare Officer who offers tips and advice on how to overcome this. Our next one is Thursday 16th May at 8:50am. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
