Spring RE in year 3.
This term in RE, year three have been looking at celebrations in different religions. We looked at how Christians celebrate Easter, how Jewish people celebrate Pesach (Passover) and how Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. Emaan, Mahir and Aleeza shared their knowledge of Islam with the class. Mahir, brought in his Qur'an to show the class. Emaan spoke about how she learns to read Arabic. And Aleeza shared some videos and photos of her pilgrimage known as Umrah. It was a pleasure to listen and further our own knowledge and understanding.

Antigua Forest School
Antigua loved their visit to Forest School.
We enjoyed noticing lots of signs of Spring as the flowers were beginning to bloom on our walk through the fields to the forest.
We began the session with game of giant rock, paper, scissors which brought out our competitiveness and collaboration skills.
The hammock was a hit with lots of children learning how to safely get in and out without spinning completely over! Then enjoying some sky gazing whilst gently swaying in it.
Our new birds were a firm favourite with many children identifying them by matching them to pictures and listening to the differnt calls they make.
All in all another fun afternoon in the forest last week.
Easter in the Nursery
We have had a very busy last 10 days making lots of Easter things and taking part in different Easter activities. We have made cards y finger painting Easter eggs; we have made sparkly eggs to take home; we have made chocolate nests; we made feathery chicks; we had an Easter egg hunt. Overall it's been a fabulous time!
In year 1 today we have been celebrating Easter. We had an Easter Egg hunt. We decorated a paper Easter egg which our teachers then hid. We went searching for our Easter eggs and once they were found we could swap them for a real chocolate egg. Also, we discussed how in spring we see new life. We talked about our planet Earth and how we can look after it. We planted a bean seed to take home and look after other the Easter holidays.
