Dear Parents and Carers,
As part of Anti-Bullying week, the whole school took part in learning about this year's theme - ‘Make some noise’ in assemblies and in the classroom. We spoke about what bullying is, how we can make a difference and what our Anti- Bullying code is at Mead. The children can tell you all about the ABCs! The pupil parliament also arranged for each child to take home a Celebrating Me at Mead Anti-Bullying sheet. The children can share/show something about what makes them unique next Friday.
Children in Need
Thank you to everyone who made a donation towards Children in Need today. The children and adults looked fantastic in their bright colours and spotty clothes!
School Ping
We wrote to parents and carers in the Summer term about using School Ping as our main communication tool. We can see that our messages and information are reaching around 50% of our school community. Please make sure that you have access to school ping via the app. If you have any questions or need any support, please contact Mrs Parker in the school office who will be happy to help.
Attendance Hub
On Thursday 23rd November 8:45am- 9:30am, we have our Multi Agency Drop in which is hosted by the Education Welfare Officer, Carole Warrington. In this session she will be joined by an Early Help Practitioner, Rahan Begum. Early help is about identifying the need for help for children and families as soon as problems start to emerge, or when there is a strong likelihood that problems will emerge in the future. Our aim is to support the whole family through facilitating activities and health clinics for parents and young children, offering specialist guidance, working on a one-to-one basis with family groups, and delivering the Youth Offending Service. Please come to the main reception office to attend or speak to Mrs Corless, Attendance Officer for more details. We look forward to seeing you there.
