Madagascar had a wonderful afternoon at Forest School. They enjoyed learning about how the Fire of London spread so quickly through the city through looking at a real fire. We looked at fire safety and could explain why we need to have a fire blanket, fire gloves, burns kit and a bucket of water nearby. They respected the fire circle really well, and were very sensible when walking around the fire.
Some children were keen to build their own campfire and were practising using the safety fire strike to ignite the fire. Other children chose to explore the forest independently through digging and examining bugs in the bug pots.
