Science Week in Wales class
Wales class have participated in an extra science lesson today in celebration of Science Week. We took a close look at our body clocks and found out that our bodies release chemical messages called hormones. These hormones tell us when to do things like sleep, wake up, eat and stop eating.
The children created their very own body clocks which displayed the times that cortisol, ghrelin, leptin and melatonin is released. They then compared it against each other's and noticed that everyone is a little bit different.
Jake said "My stomach must release a lot of ghrelin because I'm hungry all the time!".
