Weekly Newsletter

13th March 2020

Dear Parents,

We hope the children enjoyed taking part in the Sport Relief Mile on Thursday. Everyone participated eagerly and it was wonderful seeing every class out in the sunshine.Thank you to one and all for contributing so generously to this charity event.

Can we please remind you that if your child is going to be absent from school you should contact the school. Staff are spending a lot of their time calling to enquire why children are absent.Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

We would like to reassure you that we are closely following the coronavirus guidelines for schools. We have spoken to all children across the school about the importance of good hand washing and the guidelines clearly state that schools should remain open. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated on any changes that may occur. In the event that we are forced to close, we are currently planning and putting contingency measures to ensure continuation of your child’s learning.

We have been informed that the private car park in Burnwell Avenue is for residents only and that non-residents who use it will be at risk of being clamped. Ensure that you are driving and parking with care outside of the school gates, we want to make sure that all of our children and families stay safe. Please do not park on the yellow lines or across people’s drives.

A big thank you to one of our parents - Toni Nichols - who has provided workshops to years four and five during science week on STEM. The children loved the sessions!

Well done to them!. The overall attendance was disappointing at only 93.1% % which is well below our target! Hopefully we’ll do better next week.
