Jacob-Lee, who is in year 6, shared some very interesting information at our KS2 assembly this morning. Year 6 have been learning about the 2 World Wars in history and Jacob-Lee was able to tell us about his Great Grandad, Ronald Wise, who was in the Grenadier Guards and who was captured by the Germans and so became a Prisoner of War for the last year of WW 11. Hearing about Ronald's experience made us all realise how dreadful and how futile such conflicts are. Thank you Jacob-Lee and your family for sharing Ronald's story with us.
