Tarantulas Visit Year 3!

Year 3 were lucky enough to be visited by two hairy Chile Rose Tarantulas today to help them with their non-chronological report writing on 'Spiders'.

The children were able to get up close to these wonderful creatures and ask lots of questions to help them with their research.
Some children asked the questions,
"Are these tarantulas able to walk on the ceiling?" (Teddy Button)
"What is their natural habitat?" (Esther Appiah)

The children were also able to see some of the insects that the spiders eat!
We all were fascinated to learn that the Chile Rose tarantulas only have to eat once a week.

Our thanks go out to Harper's mum and dad again for taking the time to come in with the tarantulas, answer questions and allowing the children to have a great experience.
