Yesterday a group of lucky Year 6 children were invited to attend the WE Day celebrations at Wembley Arena. The WE charity invites all the children and young adults to help to create a better world to live in. The emphasis being on WE rather than ME, together making a stand and making the world a better place to be for everyone.
Throughout the day the children were inspired by motivational speakers, entertained by stunning performances from a number of musical acts, including Conor Maynard and Fleur East, and put in the party mood by DJs and presenters.
There were many emotional stories from extraordinary youngsters who had, in their own unique ways, brought an awareness to the plight of others by scaling mountains, setting up charities and reporting from war torn and famine hit areas. The day empowered the children to think about making a difference.
