The main part of the outdoor development has now been completed. With three hand pumps, a cobble stream (fitted with dams) and a water wall, this fantastic feature gives the children a wide range of opportunities to experiment with water and apply their maths and science skills.
Etched into the play surface and mathematical markings that will help them calculate length. The water wall will require collaboration to get the water flowing as far as possible.
We also expect to see the children benefit with their gross motor movement. Some pumps require a cranking motion while another needs a circular turn to get the water flowing.
As you can imagine the children were very excited to get going with the equipment and make the most of the £50,000 new feature!
