Sculptor Visit - Castle on the Hill!

Have you ever seen a castle on Harold Hill... now there is one!

Year 2 had a visiting sculptor who showed the children how to use rolled newspaper to create a solid structure. The children used special paper rollers invented by Darcy Turner to ensure the paper roll was very tight and therefore very strong. These 'sticks' were then joined using cable ties making
walls, a roof, crenelations and a door (which actually opens!)

"That's awesome!"
