Year 4 Time Travelers

On Friday Year 4 were able to travel through time in different workshops to see what life was like during the reigns of Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Elizabeth II. This term year 4 will be working towards answering the question 'Which monarch had the biggest impact on Britain?'

In the first workshop the children had the opportunity to experience life in the Tudor times during Queen Elizabeth I reign.

"I loved making the coins,"

Tried their hand at spinning lambs wool...


Creating prints...

Enjoyed playing Tudor games... 


And dressing up in fancy dress...

In the second workshop year 4, was able to see what life was like throughout the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. They learnt about the early life of Princess Elizabeth, her marriage to Philip and life before her coronation.


And the different events that took place during her reign, such as when England won the World Cup!




Musical acts such as The Beatles and Spice Girls






 The Thatcher Era and worker strikes.


Year 4 can't wait to continue learning more about Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Elizabeth II.
