Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we are reading the book, ‘Dear Zoo’. We are encouraging children to use descriptive words so please encourage your children to use these at home.
Next week our story is ‘Night Monkey, Day Monkey’. On Friday 20th we will be a having a pyjama party. Please make sure your children come to Nursery in their pyjamas. Children still need to wear sensible shoes and coats to Nursery.
Please remember that you need to apply for your Reception school place by 15th January. You do not automatically have a school place at Mead if your child attends Nursery here.
Notices
We have noticed at Nursery that some children are struggling to get their coats on by themselves. Please encourage and support your child to dress independently at home. Children should be able to get coats on and put feet in shoes by themselves. If they need help with zips and buckles they can ask for adult help.
If you get to Nursery early and are waiting outside for us to open, please be aware that children should be directly outside the nursery doors or on the path with parents. Children are not permitted to run around the car park or up and down the slope. Staff leave/enter the school at different times and we want your children to be as safe as possible.
Please remember that children should be wearing suitable shoes to school, not plimsolls. Children’s school shoes should have buckles or velcro, NO LACES.
Times
Morning Nursery: 8.30am - 11.30am
Afternoon Nursery: 12.30pm - 3.30pm
Please be aware that morning Nursery children need to be collected at 11.30am at the latest. Please make sure you are outside our Nursery door at 11.20 ready to collect your child when we open the door. Children who are not collected by this time will be taken round to the main school office for late collection.
